Established Manufacturing operation based in the East Side of Richmond is seeking an experienced cost accountant to serve in an Accounting Manager/ Plant Controller capacity. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be an integral part of our accounting team, overseeing the accounting function within our industry. This role is pivotal in the management and analysis of financial aspects of the business, ensuring the smooth running of accounting processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Ensure the maintenance of precise customer credit records.

• Manage the preparation and analysis of monthly management financial statements.

• Coordinate and oversee the creation of detailed annual budgets and standard costs.

• Lead the preparation of monthly variance analysis.

• Develop insightful financial analyses for management review and decision-making.

• Support Mergers & Acquisitions activities and accounting improvement projects.

• Supervise day-to-day activities for the accounting function in the facility.

• Utilize and improve ERP and MRP systems to enhance overall operating efficiency.

• Oversee the auditing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Must have a thorough understanding of various Accounting Functions.

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

• Auditing skills are needed for this role.

• Must be capable of handling Billing Functions effectively.

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting is a prerequisite for this position.

• Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting will be beneficial.

• Proficiency in Standard Cost Accounting is expected.
