The Nurse Practitioner- Women’s Health is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of Evergreen Health's Primary & Specialty Care practice. The Nurse Practitioner works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a patient-centered approach to care. The Nurse Practitioner reports directly to an assigned supervising physician.

As part of the Essential Functions for this role, the Nurse Practitioner:

+ Provides comprehensive health care services to Gynecological patients, including but not limited to well-patient screenings, oral contraceptive screenings, breast exams, and treatment of menstrual irregularities

+ Performs and evaluates the diagnosis and treatment of vulva, vaginal, and cervical abnormalities including colposcopies and endometrial biopsies

+ Inserts and removes birth control implants

+ Provides patients with instructions on proper use of medications and educates them on positive health behaviors and self-care skills

+ Offers preventive and health maintenance care, including annual PAP/breast screenings, health education, and counseling

+ Collaborates with physicians, clinics, and other health resources for consultation or referral as necessary

+ Prepares and documents comprehensive patient histories, examinations, and diagnoses

Qualified Candidate will possess a current license to practice as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in New York State; will have current BLS/CPR certification; will have excellent customer service, time management, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills; will demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the issues that underserved populations, people living with HIV, Intellectually and developmentally disabled and people who use drugs face, including health disparities that affect people of color at a disproportionate rate. This provider will provide gyn care and STI testing at our 206 S Elmwood, 7 Community Dr, and Bailey Ave location.

Additional requirements: Experience utilizing EMR software (Medent)
