The Deputy SOC (Security Operations Center) position is a valued member of the Information Protection and Risk Management team. This role has responsibility for managing a subset of the SOC team under the SOC Program Manager, is mainly focused on operations and works closely with other members of the IPRM program to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to the management of security risks.
A primary requirement will be to lead SOC Analysts and ensure proper handling of security events, according to established policies and best practices.

The Work Itself
* Provide mentorship to Cyber Security Analysts
* Serve as an escalation point for SOC L2 Cyber Security Analysts
* Function as the liaison between the SOC and other Ally Teams
* Develop reporting and metrics, designed to be shared with the Leadership Team
* Ensure security ticket quality
* Help ensure response playbooks are accurate
* Design and implement SOC training curriculum
* Handle day-to-day operations, maintaining high team morale
* Conduct regular Cyber Security Analyst evaluation sessions
* Ensure Security Events are handled in a timely fashion, according to performance metrics
* Identify and help design new security alerts
* Act as a "change agent" for improving SOC operations
The Skills You Bring
* 5+ years of Cyber Security experience
* Security +, CISSP or equivalent required
* Familiar with Incident Response Procedures and industry best practices
* Takes initiative and proactively solves problems
* Value driven and motivated to succeed
* Excellent organizational skills
* Strong knowledge of SIEM technologies
* Strong knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
* Comfortable working as an Incident Handler, if needed
* Ensure SOC Security Analysts adhere to internal policies and procedures

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
