    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.

    + 6 years of experience in optical metrology methods and instrumentation, including camera and imaging systems, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.

    + Experience in a laboratory setting working with optical testing equipment.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + Master’s degree or PhD in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Design and develop metrology equipment for near-eye display testing in components level and device level.

    + Perform characterization tests and contribute to the development of new test metrics, as well as new test stations (where applicable) for prototype subsystems and system (Device level) assemblies.

    + Evaluate subsystem assembly and Device level performance via image quality, radiometric and colorimetric quantities, and compare vs established metrics.

    + Assist in automation of image capture and processing, including development of new strategies and processing algorithms where applicable.

    + Analyze and troubleshoot new optical metrology tools, running repeatability tests, and reporting summarized results using appropriate data science/statistical analyses.
