Logistics Analyst - Support Level 3

Responsibilities for Logistics Support - Part of a team responsible for:
+ Coordinate with OEM / suppliers, freight forwarders and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods from Origin to Warehouse
+ Plan and lead daily logistics meetings, seek approval to expedite, when need
+ Support development and implementation of logistics plans and procedures with engineering, suppliers and implementation teams
+ Monitor the routing, tracking, and shipping of goods
+ Manage digital information, maintaining databases of logistics information, and identifying areas for improvement
+ Interface with DHL (international freight carrier and freight forwarder) on container shipment costs / routes and validate what makes sense
+ Determine needs for expansion of routes and schedules with freight carrier and / or freight forwarder.
+ Address routine and unexpected disruptions in the supply chain to keep products moving
+ Participate in emergency logistics planning/mitigation actions
+ Obtain, track and communicate costs associated with detention and demurrage and storage / movement of containers
+ Use analytical methods and tools to understand, predict, and control logistics operations and processes based on resource availability and rate and flow requirements (minimize costs)
+ Analyze data to assist with decision-making to improve the efficiency of logistics operations
+ Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain process and developing solutions to eliminate them
+ Work with shipping company / freight forwarders and customer to drive adherence to relevant laws, customs and ISO requirements (including packaging)
Requirements
Responsibilities for Program Support
+ Typically, a candidate will need a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 0-3+ years of experience in program management / program control working in the automotive industry
+ Proven leadership abilities, experienced in working in cross functional teams
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with emphasis on Excel and ability to code spreadsheets / macros and demonstrated proficiency in MS Project)
+ Proficiency in computer databases, statistic applications
+ Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics
+ Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skill and experience set up filing/storage systems
+ Effective oral and written communication skills to collaborate with engineering, program management and installation team and to report of program status and metrics to management
