Transfer Driver

In this role, you'll play a vital part in our U-Haul community by transporting equipment to and from sites in Minnesota and Eastern Wisconsin, ensuring our customers receive outstanding service. With the largest fleet of trucks and trailers in the industry, we're looking to add dedicated team members to help us maintain and re-position our equipment.

Transfer Driver Primary Responsibilities:

+ Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.

+ Complete electronic transfer paperwork.

+ Perform visual inspections of equipment.

+ Maintain a driver log.

+ Upload electronic documentation related to charges on your company fuel card.

+ Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following their supervisor's directives and guidance.

Transfer Driver Minimum Qualifications:

+ Valid driver’s license

+ A smartphone equipped for internet access.

+ This position requires D.O.T. certification, which U-Haul will sponsor and assist you in obtaining.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Workers may be required to wear protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
