    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    Under limited direction from a senior level manager, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience, specialized training and/or certification to manage prudent investment of fiduciary and other discretionary assets held in Trust accounts while working in concert with Financial Advisors. Leads defined work/projects of moderate scope and complexity.

    Essential Duties and** **Responsibilities:

    • Performs initial review of assets, and works with financial advisor in determining the proper asset allocation/investment objective, security type, and selection of investments. Performs annual reviews for trust accounts.

    • During annual review, identifies accounts that need action per investment policies. Works with financial advisor to resolve these matters.

    • Attends client and Financial Advisor meetings to discuss investment of trust accounts as needed

    • Attends and presents at monthly Trust Investment Committee meeting.

    • Ensures portfolios are compliant with company policies and procedures.

    • Oversees management of the RJ Trust Managed Mutual Fund Model portfolios.

    • Review and if prudent, approve portfolio adjustments as suggested by the financial advisor.

    • Manages projects through the lifecycle including planning, assigning, scheduling, monitoring and reviewing project activities, as well as evaluating individual performance upon project completion.

    • Trains associates on the team to ensure consistency, accuracy and completion of projects.

    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

    Qualifications - External

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Knowledge of:

    • Investment concepts, practices, and practices used in the securities industry.

    • Financial markets and products.

    • Principles of estate planning, trusts and securities industry operations.

    • Various security types.

    • Investment management concepts as they pertain to trust accounts.

    Skill in:

    • Preparing and delivering written and oral presentations.

    • Gathering and compiling information and data.

    • Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.

    Ability to:

    • Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.

    • Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate.

    • Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

    • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships, at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources.

    • Project a positive, professional image both internal and with external business contacts.

    • Convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents.

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Investments.

    ~or~

    • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Series 7 and 63 Preferred.

    Education

    Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance

    Work Experience

    General Experience - 7 to 12 months

     

    Certifications

     

    Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
