Job Summary
Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA) has a full-time opportunity available for a Conversion Specialist In the diverse customer-facing role, the Conversion Specialist will play a key role in supporting membership growth within an assigned region. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth membership registration processes, including troop placement, resolving technical registration issues, facilitating volunteer role changes, and managing council transfers. The Conversion Specialist collaborates closely with new volunteers throughout the onboarding process and assists families in identifying Girl Scout opportunities that align with their scout’s unique needs and interests.
• Facilitate troop placement and other Girl Scout participation for both youth and adult members.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during the registration and/or renewal process, ensuring a positive customer service experience.
• Support new troop leaders through the onboarding process, guiding them to complete the necessary and required steps and successfully establish their troop.
• Collaborate with regional membership support team to ensure that Girl Scouting is accessible and open to all youth and adult members reviewing and updating troop and enrollment.
• Work cross-functionally within the council to develop and implement innovative strategies to increase membership and provide exceptional support for volunteers.
• Contribute to seasonal and special projects as needed, including partnering extensively with other departments to promote and support membership participation in key programs such as summer camp and the Fall and Cookie Product Programs.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or professional work experience; Experience working in a membership or volunteer-based organization or in a diverse customer- facing role is preferred
• Open to new or recent college graduates with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office suite and experience working with various database software. Salesforce experience a plus but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to convey ideas and information clearly and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to identify, analyze and solve problems effectively while managing diverse personalities and adapting to change.
• Prior Girl Scout experience is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are valued but not required.
