    **COMPANY:** Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.

    **LOCATION:** 168 Third Ave, Waltham, MA 02451

    **TITLE:** Sr. Data Engineer

    **HOURS:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

    **DUTIES:** • Lead, design, develop, deploy and maintain mission critical data applications for Enterprise data platform.

    + Responsible for delivery of various data driven applications.

    + Participate in all phases of the Enterprise Data platform development life cycle as appropriate including, but not limited to gathering customer requirements, defining technical requirements, creating high level architecture diagrams, data validation and training sessions.

    + Responsible for delivery of Data Migrations, Data Quality and Data Integrations Projects and drive them to closure.

    + Lead different aspects of data analytics, data quality, machine learning, data acquisition, visualization, and some design and analysis tasks.

    **TRAVEL:** Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute

    **REQUIREMENTS:** MINIMUM Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study.

     

    MINIMUM Experience Requirement: 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst or Programmer, or a related occupation.

     

    Alternative Education and Experience Requirement: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 2 years of Software Engineer, Computer Systems Analyst or Programmer, or a related occupation.

    Required knowledge or experience with:

    + Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) 9.1 or higher version;

    + SQL python development especially in Py Spark in AWS Cloud;

    + Data Migrations;

    + Data lake;

    + Data analytics & Oracle, SQL Server, Postgress or AWS Redshift type databases;

    + ETL/ELT(Data extraction, data transformation and data load processes); and

    + Extract development against ERPs, CRM systems, PLM systems - SAP, Oracle JDE E1, Navision, BAAN, Siebel, SFDC, and Oracle CPQ Applications.
