**ManTech** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Telephony Engineer** to join our team in **McLean, VA** . In this role, you will apply your expertise in various telecommunications and IT domains, including Linux, Korn shell scripting, PowerBuilder, BESS billing, and Telephony Provisioning Tools. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining voice media gateways that integrate seamlessly with telephony infrastructure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Install, maintain, and analyze software, hardware, and transmission systems for voice communications.

+ Ensure proper installation and support procedures for remote hardware and communication facilities.

+ Collaborate with customers and vendors to define voice communication system requirements.

+ Integrate telephony systems (VoIP, analog, ISDN) with voice media gateways and service modules.

+ Manage and configure Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS) for hosting applications, ensuring performance, security, and stability.

+ Utilize BESS Billing and Telephony Provisioning Tools to support telephony systems.

+ Develop, test, and troubleshoot applications on Linux-based servers, including PowerBuilder and Korn shell scripts, while optimizing system performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ BA/BS and 9+ years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 13+ years.

+ Strong experience with telephony systems (VoIP, analog, ISDN) and voice media gateway integration.

+ Proficiency in Linux server management (Ubuntu, CentOS) and scripting languages (Korn shell, PowerBuilder).

+ Experience with BESS Billing and Telephony Provisioning Tools.

+ Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Experience integrating telephony systems with web applications (e.g., handling inbound/outbound calls, IVR, call routing).

+ Knowledge of security best practices for telephony, server administration, and web applications.

+ Knowledge and hands on experience with telephony systems and Linux server management, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

+ Qualified in Oracle Database Administrator.

+ Experience provisioning telephony services.

Clearance Requirements:

+ Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
