Caterpillar Inc. seeks Design Engineering Specialist at its facility located at 5205 N O' Connor Blvd., Irving, TX 75039. Develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of Power Electronics and Battery Electric products and components that satisfy customer needs and advance safety, quality, velocity and cost. Guide the evolution of the technical design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing. Participate in supplier selection and capabilities assessment. Monitor, explore, and test new technologies, materials, and components lo understand product or process improvement opportunities. Construct and fabricate prototype equipment Oversee materials selection, process optimization and process yield, as well as reliability testing and failure analysis. REQS: This position requires a bachelor's, degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 5 years of experience as a power electronics design engineer, electrical design engineer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Power electronics systems and converters design and testing; (2) NPI product development process; and (3) Power electronics system schematic development and simulation software such as MS Visio, Creo, Plecs, MATLAB, Simulink. Telecommuting: 100% Telecommuting permitted. Travel Requirements: 15% Domestic travel, possibly international.

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
