Job Summary

Athletic Trainers work at the height of their license at Excelsior Orthopaedics, whether that be in our Express Urgent Care Clinic or in a clinical settings working alongside physicians.

With increased volume at current locations we are looking to add several patient-centered and team focused clinicians to our practice!

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Works in the Rehabilitation Clinic, closely with physical and occupational therapists to progress patients and maintain a safe and efficient patient flow

+ Teach and monitor athletes on proper and safe lifting/conditioning techniques

+ Educate patients regarding injuries, reconditioning exercises, and/or injury recovery as needed

+ Identify patients that would benefit from Excelsior Sports Training Program (including Strides and Overhead Throwing Athletes)

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualification

+ BS in Athletic Training required.

+ NYS license required.

+ CPR/AED certification preferred.

+ Experience in educational or clinical setting preferred but not required.

+ Training and relocation assistance available.

Physical Demands

+ Requires considerable physical activity including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.

+ Involves standing, walking, and kneeling.

+ Work environment involves some exposure to hazards/physical risk, which requires adhering to basic safety precautions.
