    + Pay Range: $28.15 - $43.42 hourly (DOE) + $10/hr float differential

    + Hours: Full-Time (36 Hours)

    + Additional Details: Shift differentials given for evenings, nights and weekends

     

    System Float Pool (https://intermountainhealthcare.org/) is part of Intermountain Health a nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Caregivers who join our Float Pool enjoy assignments at locations throughout the Denver area. Our hospitals in the Denver area include:

     

    + Good Samaritan Medical Center – Lafayette

    + Lutheran Medical Center – Wheat Ridge

    + Platte Valley Medical Center – Brighton

    + Saint Joseph Hospital – Denver

    Scope:

    + Produce x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist ensuring clear and undistorted films. Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures.

    + Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.

    + Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.

    + Prepare or clean patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies and wiping off tables and equipment ensuring an efficient and clean working environment.

    + Protect patients from undue exposure to radiation by using lead shields and various safety factors.

    + Prepare and assist in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosages and determining any potential allergies ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures.

    + Maintain patient information as needed by purging or updating patient film jackets and/or filing reports or film files to ensure accurate patient records.

    + Maintain imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests and documenting results. Contact service personnel and notify supervision of malfunctioning equipment.

    Qualifications:

    + High School diploma or equivalent, required.

    + Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.

    + Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required.

    + At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred.
