Mechanical Assembler – 2nd shift

Pay Range: $20-24

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Training: Classroom will be done on 1st shift ( 8am) and On-the-Job Training is completed during daytime hours before transitioning to the assigned shift, timeframe to be determined

Job Overview:

This position is part of the Thick Films/Lids Group involved in wafer fabrication and related processing activities. The selected candidate will be responsible for manual tasks, operating semi and automated processing equipment, and performing rework. The role will include using microscopes, adhering to detailed written work instructions, and documenting non-conformances in our Factory Operating System (FOS).

Key Duties:

+ Setup shop orders and operate ovens

+ Perform manual assembly and soldering tasks

+ Use microscopes for inspection and precision tasks

+ Follow detailed written work instructions

+ Create non-conformances and rework in FOS

+ Complete annual training requirements on safety, hazardous materials, and quality systems

Required Skills:

+ Experience in manufacturing, microelectronics, aerospace, or defense industries

+ U.S. Citizenship required

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

+ Basic computer (MS Office) and math skills

+ Attention to detail and manual dexterity

+ Ability to follow detailed work instructions and adhere to quality standards

Education & Experience Requirements:

+ Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline

+ Experience: Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience

Desired Skills:

+ Experience working with microscopes

+ Soldering experience to Military/ANSI/J standards

+ Microelectronics or manufacturing industry experience

+ Strong focus on safety and teamwork
