**Occupational Therapist** responsibilities:

+ Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients/residents based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy.

+ Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, Fitness Specialists, Massage Therapists, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant students and volunteers.

+ Assess and evaluate pediatric patients’ motor, cognitive, sensory, and emotional development using standardized tools.

+ Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and healthcare team members.

+ Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to support functional goals (e.g., self-care, feeding, handwriting, play).

+ Educate and involve family members and caregivers in treatment planning and home programs.

+ Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and educators to ensure a holistic approach to care.

+ Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

+ Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to patient care planning.

+ Maintain current knowledge of best practices and continuing education in pediatric occupational therapy.

+ A supervising licensed Occupational Therapist may only supervise 1 permittee at any given time.

Requirements:

+ BLS (Basic Life Support)

+ OT (Occupational Therapy)

+ Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain

+ Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy

+ Preferred 1 year Occupational Therapy
