Job Description:
**Schedule** : Mon- Fri, hybrid 2 days a week
**Work Location** : 2015 Spring Road, Oak Brook IL 60523

**Salary, based on experience and other qualifications:** $61,000 to 75,000 annual with additional bonus potential.
+ **Product Development & Innovation:** Formulate and develop new food products, ensuring alignment with market trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements.
+ **Quality & Safety Assurance:** Conduct ingredient and product testing to ensure compliance with food safety standards and company quality expectations.
+ **Process Optimization:** Improve formulation and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
+ **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure all products meet FDA, USDA, and other relevant food regulations and labeling requirements.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with marketing, production, and supply chain teams to successfully bring new products to market.
+ **Testing & Analysis:** Utilize sensory evaluation, shelf-life studies, and analytical testing to refine and improve product performance.
+ **Technical Support:** Provide scientific and technical expertise to internal teams and customers to troubleshoot and resolve product-related challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field.
+ **Experience:** 3+ years of experience in food product development, formulation, or R&D.
+ **Technical Expertise:** Strong knowledge of food chemistry, microbiology, ingredient functionality, and processing technologies.
+ **Project Management:** Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ **Regulatory Knowledge:** Familiarity with food safety regulations, labeling laws, and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, FSMA, GMP).
+ **Analytical Skills:** Experience with lab equipment, sensory testing, and data analysis for product evaluation.
+ **Collaboration & Problem-Solving** : Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams to drive innovation and solve technical challenges.
+ **Travel:** Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%).
