Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing (DON) organizes and administers areas of clinical and patient care services to attain facility's objectives established by hospital administration. Hospital-wide programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the patient.

+ Develops and implements hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to those patients requiring care treatment and services.

+ The DON participates with the management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the facility's decision-making structures and processes.

+ The DON implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care, treatment and services delivered to patients.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

+ Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.

+ Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

+ Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

+ Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience.

+ Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred.

+ Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $ 122,283.20 to $160,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
