We are currently seeking a skilled **1099 Tax Compliance Analyst** to join our team as a consultant.

**Job Summary** :

We are looking for a **1099 Tax Compliance Analyst** consultant who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of tax filings related to 1099 forms. The ideal candidate will have experience in tax reporting, vendor data management, and regulatory compliance. This role involves preparing, reviewing, and submitting 1099 forms, ensuring they meet all IRS and state requirements.

**Key Responsibilities** :

+ Manage the preparation, review, and submission of 1099 tax forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations.

+ Perform vendor data verification to ensure accurate 1099 reporting.

+ Review payments to determine 1099 reporting requirements.

+ Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax reporting regulations.

+ Assist with audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed.

+ Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate 1099 tax filings.

+ Maintain accurate records and documentation for all 1099 tax compliance activities.

+ Provide expertise on tax laws and regulations related to 1099 reporting and advise on best practices.

+ Resolve discrepancies or issues related to 1099 filings.

**Qualifications** :

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance, with a focus on 1099 reporting.

+ Strong knowledge of IRS 1099 filing requirements and regulations.

+ Experience with tax preparation software and financial systems.

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

**Preferred** :

+ Experience in consulting or working within a public accounting firm.

+ CPA or relevant tax certification.
