Job Summary: The Patient Representative Coordinator provides support to the Patient Representative department. This includes assisting in the management of complex concerns and issues along with Patient Representative duties to include complaint entry, analysis of each issue to determine if it meets grievance criteria, routing to appropriate management staff for review and follow-up, verifying actions as meeting policy guidelines, and development of grievance correspondence documents. The Patient Representative Coordinator will provide guidance and education to leaders across all CaroMont Health entities for grievance and complaint management. This position will coordinate process development, monitor data and metrics, as well as special project activities in collaboration with department leadership. Identifies potential customer service, safety and risk issues by communicating those to Patient Representative, Risk Management and/or Legal Affairs leadership.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Patient Representative and/or Risk Management experience preferred. North Carolina Notary Public eligible; completing all requirements within 3–6 months of employment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal & external customers, including organization leadership and provider staff. Effective time management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required. Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality of sensitive information.
