• IT Field Project Manager

    Description

    We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an IT Field Project Manager in Charleston, South Carolina. This role primarily centers on IT and technology aspects of new construction and renovation projects. As an IT Field Project Manager, you will be expected to manage all low-voltage tech systems and provide hands-on oversight to contractors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the procurement and specifications of low-voltage tech systems

    • Supervise 6–8 contractors per project, including those involved in cabling, A/V, access control, and switches

    • Collaborate closely with superintendents to ensure projects are on schedule

    • Conduct site walks and attend procurement meetings to coordinate on-the-ground execution

    • Utilize CAD software and other blueprint/drawing review tools for project management

    • Demonstrate strong people management skills in leading contractors and communicating effectively

    • Apply experience with greenfield/new construction projects in managing construction IT related projects

    • Ensure the correct installation of IT and tech systems by leveraging previous experience in a tech/IT install company.

    Requirements

    • Exceptional skills in IT project management - hands-on infrastructure installation including cabling, A/V, access control, network switches, security systems, cameras, IT equipment

    • Proven expertise in overseeing infrastructure projects

    • Vast experience in managing IT construction projects

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings effectively

    • Excellent people management skills, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment
