Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance based in Vancouver, Washington. You will be a strategic partner providing financial and operational oversight to ensure the organization's mission fulfillment through efficient operations, financial accountability, and robust growth.

Responsibilities:

• Embrace the mission, vision, and values of the organization

• Participate in executive management planning, evaluation, and monitoring of organization wide activities and services

• Assure all federal, state and/or local financial reports are completed accurately and on time

• Oversee all fiscal functions and participate in the designated board financial committee

• Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals; formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output

• Provide strategic financial analysis and forecasting to support organizational decision-making

• Present financial reports and analysis to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee

• Oversee all aspects of the annual budgeting process

• Oversee and lead staff at various departments

• Analyze organizations insurance requirements, negotiate insurance policy contents, purchase policies, and manage all aspects of coverage and claims

• Ensure premises are used effectively

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, audit preparation, and financial reporting

• Direct and optimize key operational functions including Information Technology, Facilities Management, and Risk Management

• Oversee vendor relationships and contracts

• Manage organizational insurance and risk mitigation strategies

• Provide direct supervision and mentorship to department heads in Accounting, IT, Risk Management, and Facilities

• Foster a positive, mission-driven culture aligned with the organization's values

• Develop and implement staff training and development programs

• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or certification such as CPA or CFA is preferred.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance roles, with a focus on non-profit organizations.

• Demonstrated expertise in Fund Accounting - Non-Profit.

• Proficiency in Non-profit Accounting.

• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a VP or Director of Finance.

• Strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.

• Proficient in corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices.

• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.

• Proficient in the use of financial management software.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ethical behavior with the ability to manage confidential information.

• Demonstrated strategic planning and business development skills.
