Description
We are currently offering an employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in SCRANTON, Pennsylvania area. As a Financial Analyst, you will be expected to manage accounts receivable, conduct research on outstanding account reports, and communicate with various parties to resolve outstanding balances.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the management of outstanding accounts receivable and take necessary actions to ensure prompt payment
• Conduct thorough research on aged account reports and process problematic EOB’s
• Identify, rectify and communicate payment posting errors to the team
• Make necessary corrections in the billing system and resolve claims rejected by the payer
• Address billing and coverage concerns and communicate with the billing and front office staff regarding unmet billing requirements
• Respond to patient and facility queries regarding account balance and payment status
• Identify and communicate facility errors to the relevant parties and develop corrective action plans accordingly
• Keep track of payment trends related to payers, CPT codes, diagnosis codes, etc. and communicate them to the Supervisor or Director Revenue Cycle
• Research outstanding credit balances and prepare refund requests
• Recommend accounts for bad debt write-off
• Assist in developing a strategy for the team to reach their goals and maintain high productivity
• Foster team progress by providing necessary training and monitoring
• Generate reports to update the organization on the Billing Department's progress.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Crystal Reports
• Mastery of Data Mining Techniques
• Understands and can perform Accounting Functions
• Knowledge and practical experience with Accrual Accounting
• Proficient in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Experience in Capital Management
