Description
A well-regarded New York litigation group is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of experience from a high-end law firm. The ideal candidate will have played a significant role in complex business litigation matters and is capable of being deployed across a variety of litigation cases. Qualified applicants should have strong experience drafting and editing pleadings, briefs, interview memos, and other written work product, as well as conducting witness interviews. Experience preparing for and conducting depositions, and participating in arbitrations and trials, is strongly preferred.
We are looking for detail-oriented, proactive professionals who are comfortable taking on leadership roles within cases and the firm. The ideal candidate can manage multiple high-level matters simultaneously, works well under pressure, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The litigation practice handles a broad range of complex disputes, representing local, national, and international clients. Areas of focus include business and commercial litigation, securities, regulatory defense, intellectual property, technology, media and entertainment, e-commerce, apparel, retail, and more.
Requirements
Requirements:
+ J.D. from a top law school with strong academic credentials (top 20% preferred)
+ Admission to the New York Bar
+ 5-6 years of complex commercial litigation experience
+ Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ Experience taking or preparing for depositions, arbitrations, or trials; first-chair experience is a plus
+ Prior experience at a large or mid-sized law firm; clerkship experience is a bonus
+ Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
