    Description

    Our client in the Greater Nashville, TN, area is looking for an Interim Director of Treasury to work primarily onsite. The Treasury Director will be responsible for leading and managing compliance with bank account reconciliations and reporting. In this capacity, the Treasury Director will oversee reconciliation processes, advanced analytics, and reporting delivery while working closely with banks, auditors, and regulators. They will manage and develop a team of finance, accounting, and Microsoft Power Platform professionals, ensuring efficient workflows, compliance, and accurate reporting. Under this leader, the team handles Money Transmitter Licensing (MTL) requirements, particularly focusing on FBO (For Benefit Of) and settlement accounts. This role requires not only technical expertise but also leadership and interpersonal skills to partner collaboratively across various departments and business lines within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Reconciliation & Accounting

     

    + Ensure accurate daily reconciliation of FBO, operating bank accounts, settlements, and associated accounting entries.

    + Analyze and resolve out-of-balance transactions in a timely manner.

    + Oversee reconciliation of FBO customer balances to bank balances as well as complex customer/vendor matching and reporting using Power BI.

    + Define success metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness and drive continuous platform improvement.

     

    Microsoft Power Platform

     

    + Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement efficient reconciliation and reporting processes using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

    + Safeguard organizational data by maintaining best practices for security, compliance controls, and monitoring systems integrity.

    + Provide technical leadership and mentorship for team members, ensuring innovative solutions and operational excellence.

     

    Cash Flow Management

     

    + Manage daily funds requirements and flows in coordination with Treasury.

    + Support cash flow reporting, working capital modeling, and bank account consolidation efforts.

     

    Internal Controls, Audit & Compliance

     

    + Ensure compliance with banking contracts, MTL requirements, and internal controls frameworks.

    + Support audits by providing necessary banking confirmations and responding to transaction-related queries.

    + Address regulatory reporting requests and maintain compliance with applicable rules and processes for funds flow and monitoring.

     

    Securitization & Reporting

     

    + Oversee securitization reporting and reporting relevant to FBO/MTL compliance requirements.

     

    Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

     

    + Proactively escalate issues related to value, risk, or efficiency while driving efficiency and effectiveness across finance operations.

    + Develop and deliver initiatives that enhance processes and systems functionality to improve organizational outcomes.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, computer science, or a related field.

    + Approximately 8+ years of treasury accounting experience in complex organizations with high-volume transactions.

    + A minimum of 5+ years of experience managing and designing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply concepts strategically.

    + Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in complex treasury and settlement reconciliations.

    + Comprehensive knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Experience and Skills:

    + Professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Dynamics 365, or similar credentials are highly desirable.

    + Experience with large-scale, complex technology initiatives from inception to completion.

    + Expertise in advanced Excel functions and Microsoft Office applications.

    + Strong time-management skills and ability to navigate fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
