Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable and grants payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and conducting relevant reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and oversee accounts payable (AP) and grants payable (GP) tasks and transactions, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.

• Develop and implement procedures and guidelines for AP and GP processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulations.

• Collaborate with various team members to maintain the Vendor Master File.

• Generate necessary AP/GP reports to support processing and reconciliation requirements.

• Perform reconciliations of related general ledger accounts, including Accounts Payable/Grants Payable/Accrued Expenses.

• Manage supplier contracts and maintain organizational structure of AP/GP files.

• Adhere to internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and FASB standards.

• Provide training to internal departments and external partners on AP and GP processing procedures.

• Oversee compliance with IRS 1099 requirements and supervise preparation of 1099s.

• Respond to requests for information and assistance, delegating when appropriate.

• Liaise with IT staff and software developers to address any AP/GP technical issues.

• Supervise and develop the Accounts Payable Specialist.

• Assist with the preparation of documentation for external auditors.

The salary range for this position is $82,000 to $90,000.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding, demonstrating an ability to correctly assign costs to various accounts

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems, showing an ability to work seamlessly with various accounting tools

• Strong skills in Data Processing, highlighting a capacity to manage large volumes of data accurately and efficiently

• Understanding of Accounting Functions, indicating a broad knowledge of financial operations within a business

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), showing a specific focus on managing outgoing payments

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting, demonstrating an understanding of recording transactions when they occur, not when cash changes hands

• Experience in Auditing, indicating a capacity to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial operations

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes, showing an understanding of electronic money transfer systems

• Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Accounting, demonstrating a comfort level with this specific accounting software

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, indicating a skill set that includes familiarity with this comprehensive business management solution
