    Energy Service Technician

     

    Location Sully, Iowa

     

    The Energy Service Technician's main responsibility is to support the activities of Key Cooperative’s Petroleum Department to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties.

     

    Work Quality

     

    + Schedules and executes propane, refined fuels, and lubricant delivery systems installations with customers.

    + Performs minor propane, refined fuels, and lubricant plant maintenance and repair; prepares accurate production and inventory records.

    + Assists in customer tank setting, leak checking, and maintenance.

     

    Work Schedules

     

    + Completes all assigned tasks according to work order estimates and their daily work schedule.

    + Willing to work overtime; sometimes all day Saturdays; and could be called out after hours on service calls.

    + Displays reliable attendance and schedules time-off with advance notice.

     

    Customer Service

     

    + Authority to refuse customer requested service or installation that is out of compliance.

    + Be able to communicate and solve differences of opinion with the customer.

    + Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times; exhibits good customer relations skills.

     

    Inventory & Testing

     

    + Maintains the required inventory for propane, refined fuels, and lubricant delivery systems that are sold or provided to customers.

    + Responsible for conducting leak tests, pressure tests, and cathodic tests.

     

    Safety & Organization

     

    + Responsible for Energy departments regulatory and safety compliance in all installations of delivery systems.

    + Carries out Key Cooperative’s compliance with "Duty to Warn" obligations with existing or new customers.

    + Expected to attend all relevant installation and safety training in LP, refined fuels, and lubricant products.

     

    Education and/or Experience

     

    + Associates Degree from two year college or technical school; or a minimum of 4 to 6 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

     

    + Commercial Drivers License A/B with HAZMAT Endorsement, Tanker, and Air brake

    + CTEP Certified
