$19-$21/hour – depending on experience.
8-hour shift Monday thru Friday

Summary:
The Laboratory Technician position is primarily responsible for processing customer samples at various stages throughout the laboratory operation in accordance with standard operating procedures. These duties can range from receiving/storing samples, prepping samples for DNA extraction, DNA extraction, and running DNA on various assays to generate data for customers. The Laboratory Technician will also participate in CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) investigations that result in process improvements.
Responsibilities:
+ Process, store, and dispose of customer samples according to standard operating procedures.
+ Maintain supply inventory by using appropriate software to monitor material inventory levels.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment throughout the laboratory as needed.
+ Report deviations from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), or unexpected results in a timely fashion, in accordance with the organization’s CAPA SOPs.
+ Contribute ideas and participate in initiatives that will lead to continuous improvement of procedures.
+ This position may require long periods of sitting or standing and the ability to lift 20-30lbs.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by Team Lead or Laboratory Operations Manager.
Education/Experience:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
+ 0-3+ years of relevant experience; Genetics or Manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Familiarity with GLP/GMP practices.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) applications.
**Pay Details:** $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
