    About the Role

    The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for both manual and automated test creation of company projects and initiatives, working closely with Software Engineering leaders and project leads reporting and communicating for releases to ensure high quality solutions. Additionally, this individual will gain an in-depth understanding of the business applications and product functionality to be tested, and then lead in the development, implementation and evaluation of test strategies, specifications, and models.

     

    Location

     

    This position is 100% in-office and reports to our facility on-site in Syracuse, NY (Must be local or willing to relocate at your own expense).

     

    Salary Range

     

    $70,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience

    Responsibilities

    + Execute or assure all levels of testing (System, Integration, Unit, and Regression) to detect and track defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues, with consistent standards across all technologies and platforms.

    + Leads in the development, implementation and evaluation of test strategies, specifications and models that ensure new and existing application solutions pass all specified quality standards and benchmarks.

    + Analyze and modify current testing processes and procedures to ensure a streamlined process and to automate processes where possible using automated tools. Including active participation in process improvement studies to measure outcomes and evaluate services

    + Conduct software/firmware compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments

    + Ensure that each stage of the test plan is executed, and that proper signoff is received upon completion of the test plan

    + Develop accurate reports and documents such as test plans, test cases, and drive test strategy for targeted applications while maintaining and suggesting improvements to the QA process for various stakeholders

    + Perform defect reproduction, verification of resolved issues, and developer support, utilizing tools for managing and tracking all status and communications.

    + Effectively communicate defects, test result status to stake holders and developers responsible for products in test, and lead various test sessions with key members of the delivery team to ensure functionality of product(s)

    + Assist in design and review of requirement specifications

    Basic Qualifications

    + Ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities and deliverable dates

    + Experienced working effectively and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Knowledge and understanding of Application Lifecycle Management, Software Development and Agile Development/Testing practices and methodologies

    + Provides expertise in understanding what to test, as well as how it should be tested

    + Experience with various UI & API QA tools and platforms (Postman, SOAPtest, Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, etc.)
