    Join Community

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, “community” is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered — and we couldn’t do it without you.

    Make a Difference

The Sr Database Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the enterprise database environments for Epic EMR (Electronic Medical Record). This includes implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, resource monitoring and support documentation. The Sr Database Administrator will be challenged in keeping this system up-to-date, operational, and available at all times while keeping the enterprise on the “cutting edge” of current technologies. This position will work very closely with other IT staff and Community Health Network customers to develop and maintain a complex and state-of-the art infrastructure that is rapidly changing to support the enterprise’s growth and dependability on digital technologies.

    Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

    • High School Diploma or GED required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred

    • This position requires a minimal of five to seven (5-7) years successfully supporting an Enterprise scale database environment and must be knowledgeable at the expert level of current technologies and performance capabilities of a large-scale enterprise environment.

    • Seven to ten (7-10) years of related work experience preferred.

    • Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) strongly preferred.

    • InterSystems Caché/IRIS experience strongly preferred.

    • Ability to architect large enterprise class database solutions with real-time replication.

    • Ability to plan and control large scale enterprise systems and relating projects.

    • This position will allow the flexibility to work remotely. Community caregivers performing work remotely are permitted to live in the following states: Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Florida and Texas. Caregivers are not allowed to perform work remotely outside of the above states. Applicants from other states may apply; however, if hired, they will be required to relocate to one of the above states within 60 days of their employment date.
