The Manager of Medical Staff Services serves as a liaison among Medical Staff leaders, administration and the Board in areas relating to the functions of the Medical Staff Office and serves as a liaison with information systems staff and other departments in the development, implementation and support of systems. They will supervise staff, plan, coordinate, and implement services to support the medical staffs of the network and all affiliates. The Manager of Medical Staff Services will collaborate with appropriate network staff (Operations Leaders, Human Resources, Provider Recruitment, etc.) to ensure coordination of activities with medical staff and administration as well as ensure that the services comply with state and federal regulatory requirements, Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.

+ 2 year / Associate Degree in related field (Required)
+ 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in related field required. (Preferred)
+ In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered..
+ 3+ years: At least three (3) years of experience in medical staff services, physician services or legal services/regulatory compliance environment with at least one (1) year of previous supervisory/leadership experience. (Required)
+ Database management: Management and ownership of Database infrastructure processes to support credentialing work and program enhancement. Establish a thorough understanding and knowledge of Credentialing Database and its various uses within the network. Modifying data from Credentialing Database into meaningful reports. Coordinates all training needs related to the use of the Credentialing Database. Performs quality audits on the accuracy of data contained within the system.
+ Medical Staff: Maintain updated content of Medical Staff Portal and Website. Assists with the preparation and participates in regulatory surveys. Directs the activities of the medical staff relating to the organization as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and Policies and Procedures. Effectively provides direction, training, and policy interpretation to staff members. Maintains a working knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws and regulatory agency requirements. Manages department resources in alignment with network priorities. Participates in General Medical Staff Meetings, Annual Staff Meetings, Doc-to-Doc events, Doctor’s Day and other related Medical Staff events. Posts notifications of updates and documents on the intranet and physician lounge. Prepares and distributes any communication requested by Medical Staff Officers to the medical staff. Protects permanent records by managing a secure record retention process. Responsible to ensure operations comply with bylaws and policies and ensures that processes/outcomes meet all state and federal regulatory requirements. Reviews bylaws, policies and procedures on an annual basis to determine compliance with federal and state regulations. Serves as a mentor, coach and positive role model. Serves as liaison between Medical Staff Office and GMEC regarding Student/Externship rotation programs, pipeline for students, residents and fellows, and the management of credentialing processes to support these programs. Works collaboratively with the Quality Department on Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) as related to privilege functions.
