    Job Description

Are you the go-to person for making complex things run smoothly?

Do you thrive in an environment where details matter, people count, and organization is everything? If you're a multi-tasking pro with a passion for education and operations,** **we want you on our team!

    About the Role

As our** **Residency/Fellowship Program Coordinator** **, you won’t just be managing schedules—you’ll be the glue that holds the training program together. Reporting to the Department Manager and working closely with the Program Director, you’ll help shape the future of medicine by coordinating the ins and outs of our residency or fellowship training programs.

This position blends operations, communications, and leadership. You'll need to know the rules (ACGME and hospital policies), but you’ll also need to know how to bend when things get tricky. It’s dynamic, important work—with a real impact on people’s careers and patient care.

    What You'll Be Doing

Be the right hand to the Program Director & Manager—regular check-ins, workflow improvements, and policy planning.

Ensure we're always in compliance with national accreditation standards.

Be the go-to for residents and fellows, supporting them through onboarding, credentialing, and everything in between.

Coordinate key events: recruitment, orientation, graduation, and more (yes, you’ll make it all look easy).

Keep our systems sharp—manage databases, evaluations, records, and schedules like a boss.

Lead communications for internal and external stakeholders (think brochures, websites, lectures, and social media updates).

Take charge during match season, supporting everything from ERAS to NRMP rank lists.

Prep for reviews and site visits, and keep everything inspection-ready.

Jump in where needed—this is a role where no two days look quite the same.

What You Bring to the Table

    Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree in health sciences, business, public administration, education—or a related field.

    2–5 years in a high-level administrative role.

    Pro-level communication and organizational skills.

    Total confidence handling sensitive information.

Microsoft Office wizardry (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Solid decision-making chops—you know when to handle it yourself and when to escalate.

    Preferred but Not Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

One year of experience in a coordinator role (bonus points if it's in graduate medical education!).

    Why Join Us?

You'll be part of a mission-driven team that’s passionate about medical education and patient care. We support innovation, recognize hard work, and make sure you feel appreciated. Plus, you’ll play a crucial part in helping the next generation of healthcare professionals succeed.

Working at University Health is about making a difference. It's providing the best care to every patient every day.

University Health (UH), is committed to being a leader in providing a culturally inclusive workplace for our employees. UH is an equal opportunity employer. We value and celebrate our differences. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless, but not limited to race, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation), national origin, ancestry, language, age, citizenship, genetic information, marital status, socioeconomic status, literacy, disability, mobility, abilities, veteran status and any other category protected by applicable law.
