Job Summary:

Mission Health, partnered with **TeamHealth** , is seeking **experienced physicians** to join a highly skilled team within our **state-of-the-art facility** in Asheville, North Carolina.

About the Emergency Department:

+ 94-bed ED

+ Annual ED visits: 100,000+ Daily APC coverage

+ EMR: Cerner FirstNet

+ Comprehensive Stroke Center

+ Dedicated Pediatric ED

+ 1.7 - 2.1 patients per hour

+ Academic Affiliation: Yes, EM residents

The ED team is organized into pods based on acuity, allowing for a smooth workflow and efficient patient care. Our physicians work closely with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide compassionate care in a **fast-paced environment** .

Schedule

+ Shifts: 8 – 9 hours shifts

+ No call

+ Malpractice: Coverage with tail

_Additional Facilities:_

_Mission Hospital’s team also supports other regional facilities, including_ **_Mission Hospital McDowell, Angel Medical Center, Transylvania Regional Hospital, Blue Ridge Regional Hospital_** _,_ **_South Asheville FSED_** _and_ **_Highlands-Cashiers Hospital_** _. While the primary location is Mission Hospital, physicians may have PRN privileges at these additional sites._

Qualified Candidates:

+ **Board-certified or board-eligible** in Emergency Medicine

+ Strong clinical skills and judgment
