We need your expertise to further advance our mission. Take this opportunity to join our highly respected Division of Neurological Rehabilitation in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at MHS and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).

Core Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of medical conditions, including neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal trauma, acute and chronic pain, and other disabling conditions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, which may include medical therapies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other interventions.

• Prescribe medications, pain management techniques (e.g., injections), and assistive devices. • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS). Patient Assessment and Management:

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess function, identify impairments, and determine treatment goals. • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., neurologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists) to provide comprehensive care.

• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and rehabilitation strategies. Specialized Skills: • Expertise in pain management, including both acute and chronic pain conditions.

• Ability to assess and treat conditions affecting the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, and other body systems. • Knowledge of assistive devices, prosthetics, and orthotics.

• Understanding of the principles of rehabilitation and functional restoration.

Academically affiliated with the renowned CWRU School of Medicine, MHS includes a 550-bed academic medical center and is a Level I Trauma and Burn Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Magnet® certified for nursing excellence. ACGME training programs include a PM&R residency and fellowships in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, and Pain Medicine. The MetroHealth Center for Rehabilitation Research conducts cutting-edge rehabilitation research and has over $73 million in extramural research funding.
