Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Health and Safety Coordinator in the manufacturing industry, located in Diamond Bar, California. The role involves managing safety protocols, coordinating safety training, and maintaining a secure and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate safety training sessions, drills, and onboarding orientations for employees, ensuring everyone is well-informed about safety practices.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, document findings, and initiate corrective actions.
• Serve as the liaison for facility maintenance, coordinating with vendors and contractors for necessary repairs and improvements.
• Develop, enforce, and update safety policies and procedures in line with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA.
• Conduct comprehensive safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the facility, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
• Collaborate with HR to support wellness programs, handle worker’s compensation claims, and manage return-to-work programs.
• Ensure all safety records, reports, and documentation are up-to-date and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in facility planning, space management, and adherence to health and safety codes.
• Foster a safety-first culture, ensuring all employees understand and comply with safety practices.
• Support HR initiatives, such as record keeping, policy updates, and employee engagement activities. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health and Safety Coordinator role or similar within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in using Ada and EXPRESS programming languages.
• Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Ability to efficiently use GMail for detail oriented communication.
• Proven experience in managing health and safety management systems.
• Demonstrated skills in conducting safety audits and compliance checks.
• Previous experience in a construction environment is advantageous.
• Ability to devise and implement corrective action plans in response to safety incidents.
• Excellent customer service skills to address queries and concerns regarding health and safety.
• Experience in facilities management with a focus on maintaining safety standards.
• Familiarity with California Occupational Safety and Health (Cal OSHA) regulations.
• Proven track record of conducting safety audits and compliance checks.
