The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified in Hematology.
Teaching responsibilities may include hematology-oncology fellows, medical residents, and medical students. Successful candidates will have clinical and teaching experience in the area of non-malignant hematology. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with sickle cell disease, disorders of hemostasis and thrombosis, and general benign hematologic conditions. Successful candidates will conduct high-quality clinical trials. Participation in clinical trials is an important part of this role.
There will be an expectation of the ability of selected candidates to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
