    The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

     

    Pidone residence is a two-story Victorian home located in the heart of Uptown Kingston, in close proximity to many shops and restaurants. Ten people live at the Pidone residence; nine men, including three brothers, and one married couple. This close-knit, family environment at this bustling residence creates a positive and enjoyable working environment for staff. The people who live here enjoy cooking, sports, and music, and love to both host and attend parties, enjoy vacation getaways and day trips to concerts and sporting events.     A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

     

    HOURS: On-call/as needed

     

    STARTING SALARY: $ 18.01 to $ 19.82 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable

    Minimum Requirements

    + High School Diploma or GED is preferred

    + Acceptable NYS Driver's License

    + Computer skills
