    Position: Security Monitor

     

    Location/Department: Carlisle, PA Corps

     

    Availability of Position: Immediate

     

    Schedule: Part Time; up to 19 hours per week

     

    Reporting Relationship: Head of Security

     

    Salary and Grade: $9.50 per hour; 71 Non-Exempt

    Responsibilities

    Duties:

    The Security Monitor maintains general security for The Salvation Army campus, including all three buildings and the parking lot. Specific duties shall include but not be limited to the following: greeting all residents, answering the telephone, logging all activities in the security log, and abide by all policies in the Security Procedures Manual.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    Job applicant must possess a HS Diploma or equivalent. Applicant must be able and willing to deal with people in crisis and other human service/police personnel as necessary. Applicant must to able to balance compassion and authority in an appropriate manner. While an appreciation for, and understanding of, the philosophy and mission of The Salvation Army is required, being active Salvationist is a plus. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
