Private Duty LPN – Full-Time Float

Overview:

We’re looking for aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN)to join our private duty team as afull-time float nursein the Gibson County region. This role offersone-on-one in-home care, providing a rewarding alternative to facility-based nursing. Requirements:

+ Active LPN licensein Tennessee

+ Current CPR certification

+ Reliable transportation for travel within the region

+ Trach/vent training available

Responsibilities

+ Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice

+ Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN

+ Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations

+ Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately

+ Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and reports any changes

+ Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patient's file accordingly

+ Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned

Qualifications

+ Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing

+ Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred

+ Active CPR certification

+ Familiarity with electronic health records

+ Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

+ Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
