New Jersey Natural Gas, a subsidiary of NJR is seeking a GIS Analyst Intern to assist with various duties required to maintain the company's Geographic Information System (GIS) in Engineering.

What you will do:

Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.

• Use ArcGIS to digitize, edit attributes and update spatial data

• Assist with field research and data collection using GPS equipment

• Review and verify the address information to assist in successful geo-coding activities

• Assist GIS/Drafting staff as required to update the GIS system

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences (geography, geology, environmental sciences) or engineering, rising Junior or Senior

• Knowledge and/or experience with GIS is a plus

• Valid New Jersey State drivers’ license

• Ability to work onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ

• Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
