Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics

The Department of Physics at Hobart and William Smith Colleges invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor to begin August 1, 2025. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, one-year position with a teaching load of five or six courses.
The salary range for this position is $46,036 - $63,499.
Candidates with a Ph.D. in physics or its equivalent are strongly preferred, but A.B.D. will be considered. We seek a physicist with a genuine interest in teaching and liberal arts education. We are open to all research areas.

Ideally at least two of the letters of reference should speak to the applicant's teaching ability.
