Job Summary

In this role, you will operate under the guidance of the IT Helpdesk Manager and IT Administration Manager, contributing to meaningful projects and ensuring seamless operations. Be a part of something special and help us enhance the Eccles experience!
Responsibilities
-Utilize a ticketing system on a daily basis to respond to customer requests, document task completions, and collaborate with IT team members effectively.
-Manage processes related to onboarding new hires and offboarding exiting employees, including updates to the web directory, alias creation/removal, and mailbox/list maintenance.
-Conduct regular reviews of HR turnover lists to ensure accurate ticket entry.
-Handle involuntary termination requests with a strong commitment to confidentiality and timely resolution.
-Oversee daily receipt of packages and mail, including unboxing, inventory tagging, reconciling items with related tickets, and maintaining detailed inventory records.
-Manage returns by coordinating delivery to campus facilities or carriers ( UPS /FedEx).Supervise equipment inventory for new hires and checkouts, monitor stock levels, and initiate reordering as needed.
-Create electronic journal entries for chargebacks and manage the procurement of basic office supplies.
-Maintain capital equipment inventory and ensure compliance with annual audit reporting requirements.
-Partner closely with the Helpdesk technician team to assign tickets on a rotational basis for tasks such as equipment imaging, deployment, recovery, and other related duties.
-Provide on-site support at the IT front desk, offering assistance and guidance to customers as needed.
-Assist with administrative portal management for user accounts when requested.
-Contribute to the development of knowledge base documentation and training materials.
-Provide support for the annual convocation ceremony, which may occur outside regular business hours.
-Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency. Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience. (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience.)

Preferences
Familiarity with University of Utah purchasing systems, including PCard, UShop, EPR , eJournals, and Concur, is highly desirable.
