• Research Assistant/Coordinator

    The Mindful Education Lab (MEL) at the NYU is seeking a research assistant to conduct research on meditation and mindfulness both on-line and in person.

     

    Housed within the Metropolitan Center for Research on Equity and the Transformation of

    We are seeking a part-time (20 hrs per week) to support our team in the following ways:

    + Teach online meditation classes

    + Design and administer surveys through qualtrics

    + Manage project data

    + Organize research meetings

    + Assist Directors in time-sensitive project-related reporting matters

    + Support MEL community

    + Bachelor’s degree in psychology or Data Science or premed.

    + Experience teaching mediation/yoga

    + 2+ years working in a research lab, familiarity with IRB and Cayuse, experimental methods and surgery methods, statistics in SPSP, CITI training

    + Excellent organizational Skills

    + Excellent Leadership skills

    + Excellent communicator

    + Able to manage many projects at once

    + Positive attitude and willing to learn as the job progresses

    + Commitment to the wellbeing of others, especially from underserved populations
