DESCRIPTION:

The Asphalt and Paving Supervisor position is responsible for supervising the paving crew and managing the day-to-day operations, but not limited to communication with truck drivers; handling the aspects related to plant personnel and customers; scheduling and necessary maintenance.

Responsibilities and Duties (but not limited to the following)

+ Oversee the day-to-day operations of asphalt paving projects

+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations

+ Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders

+ Develop project plans and schedules

+ Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship

+ Supervise paving crews and provide guidance and training

+ Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications

+ Manage project budgets and control costs

+ Handle any issues or emergencies that arise during the project

+ Prepare reports and documentation for project progress

REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must have at least 5 years of verifiable experience as an Asphalt Paving Superintendent or Supervisor.

+ Proven track record of managing paving projects

+ At least 2 years of experience in the construction of HMA Pavement Runways, Taxiways, Apron or Aircraft Parking

+ Knowledgeable in trouble shooting of HMA Paving Problems such Segregation, Density and Smoothness Issues.

+ Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and equipment

+ Attentive to detail and knowledgeable in FAA and/or US Air Force Asphalt Paving Quality, Specifications and Job Mix Formula.

+ Experience in FAA and/or US Military Projects is a plus.

+ Ability to work under tight deadlines

+ Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

+ Certifications in construction safety and project management

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

+ Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Valid driver's license

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and its Territories

+ Must be able to work on U.S. Military Project(s) based in Northern Mariana Island / Tinian
