A Snapshot of Your Day
This Materials Engineer-Polymer role will be a technical
consultant on polymer components for the TI CP business. Daily tasks will vary
from; developing and implementing life cycle studies for existing polymer
components, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, collaboration
with existing and future suppliers of polymer compounds to increase the design
capabilities and troubleshooting manufacturing challenges related to polymers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Providetechnical support in fluorinated polymers (blending, sintering, andphysical properties)
+ Experiencein post-service evaluation and failure analysis
+ Guideengineers on material selection and simulation
+ Actas primary technical contact for suppliers and customers on polymerictopics
+ Supportmaterial testing by inspection, analysis, and reporting of post-testresults
+ Createand follow standardized procedures related to material selection andprocessing
What You Bring
+ Bachelorof Science in either Material Science, Chemistry, or Engineering
+ 5+years of experience in Material sciences field; Those with more experiencemay be considered for a more senior level.
+ Expertisewith polymer materials solutions for reciprocating applications
+ Practical knowledge testing polymers in wear systems to estimate component life
+ Excellentcommunication and teamwork skills
+ Familiaritywith risk analysis, exceptional technical analysis skills to determineroot cause of failure and provide feedback and recommendations
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the

Specific offers are determined by variousfactors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs.Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensationdepends on each individual’s qualifications.
