We are looking for curious, analytical, and self-motivated people to join the Legislative Audit Division as Management and Program Analysts. Analysts provide objective information to the legislature and the citizenry by conducting performance audits of state government programs. Analysts examine diverse audit topics. Examples range from wildlife management programs to regulation of child care facilities to analysis of water rights administration. Audit assignments offer continuing variety andopportunities for professional growth and advancement. The Legislative Audit Division is an independent, nonpolitical, nonpartisan organization in Montana’s legislative branch. Must be awarded by May 15, 2025. *_Preferred Qualifications:_* · Degree in business, economics, mathematics, public administration, political science, or related field · Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative analysis · Experience with professional writing · A graduate degree · Experience in auditing or program evaluation *_Starting Salary_* We are recruiting for Associate and Senior Level Analysts. Starting level and salary is based on relevant and direct work experience. · *Associate Level*: 0-3 years of relevant experience; starting minimum $61,726 · **Senior Level*:2-5 years of DIRECT WORK EXPERIENCE as an analyst/auditor; starting minimum $67,524 *For Senior Level consideration, the applicant MUST have at least 2 years direct work experience as a program evaluator/analyst, performance auditor, or demonstrably equivalent position.
