    SUNY Delhi (Delhi, NY)


     

    Will assist Cooks in various phases of food production.

     

    Set up the counter for service, i.e. food, coffee, juice machines, soda machines, milk machines and portion/dish up desserts.

     

    Inform your Supervisor of foods needed at the counter, keeping an adequate supply of all items to provide the best possible service.

     

    Serve food to customers, maintaining good relationships with students.

     

    Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of work area during and after service.

     

    During slack periods, assist other employees in their areas; also maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the area.

     

    Will assume responsibilities of higher grades when assigned by Head Cook or Supervisor.

     

    Will be required to attend a food sanitation course.

     

    May be called upon at times to perform other related tasks not included in this description.

     

    Dishwashers and pot washers will operate the dish and pot machines to ensure clean plates, cups, utensils, etc. as well as other cleaning related duties as directed by Supervisor.

    Job Requirements:

    Must have previous experience and/or knowledge

     

    of proper food service sanitation practices

     

    of how to safely operate and clean a slicer

     

    of how to safety operate a dishwasher

     

    Must possess a positive attitude and practice positive customer conduct.

     

    Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

    Additional Information:

    + $15.84/hour

    + Accepting applications for potential openings

    + Grade 2 in CSEA Local 628

    + Work 32 weeks per year when SUNY Delhi is in session.
