    CAREER OPPORTUNITY

    The Stock & Additives Process Engineer is an important member of the Paper Machine team. He/she is expected to assist and support both day-to-day and long-term processes of the Stocks and Additives department in accordance with the Paper Machines Department and Quality Assurance Department. This position requires the capability to manage projects, processes, and people.

    HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SMURFIT WESTROCK

    * Implementation of process/equipment improvement projects

    * Provides assistance with process troubleshooting and optimization analysis

    * Support of safety management/improvement projects

    * Implement systems to improve equipment reliability

    * Implement systems to improve operator responsibility

    * Solve repetitive process/equipment failures

    * Support department training

    * Work with hourly and salary employees to improve department results

    * Assist in maintenance shut down execution of process areas

    * Working knowledge all safety procedures (including LOTO, fall protection, confined space entry, hot work and JHA for each position, proper guarding, seat belts, dock locks, etc.).

    * Employee must follow standard work procedures and safe work.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    * BS Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical Engineer preferred)

    * Strong communication and leadership skills with an ability to teach others.

    * Departmental on call duty on a rotating basis

    * Must have analytical and problem-solving skills

    * Must be reliable and dependent
