    Position: Applications Development Analyst

     

    DUTIES: Responsible for gathering, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting systems and processes related to EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Work primarily on supporting business processes, integrations, and systems as it relates to EDI. Assist with the support, maintenance, configuration, and upgrades as it relates to those technologies. Specific duties include: configuring trading partner setups for EDI and creating mapping (FMD/MRS) documents; working with Mapping and Communication protocols; managing incidents, troubleshooting complex EDI failures; participating in a continuous improvement process to reduce ticket volumes and improve overall production support service and efficiency by identifying recurring or potential issues & recommending solutions; and engaging with external EDI partners and internal business users to address issues, test and implement EDI solutions. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, or a related field and 8 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 5 years of demonstrated experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) Requirement gathering, coding, testing, reviewing code and test results, and providing post-production support; (2) Coordinating end-to-end testing for EDI implementations and map changes and coordinating delivery of code deliverables and coordinating end-to-end testing for implementations and enhancements; (3) Utilizing various testing strategies on developed EDI Maps, Business Processes, EDI envelopes, and trading partner profile configurations with different protocols, including AS2, FTP, SFTP, and VAN; (4) Developing business processes and EDI mappings for different EDI transaction formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, VDA, TRADACOMMS), including supply chain and other custom EDI transactions based on specifications provided in requirement document using Agile process; (5) Working with EAI tools including Gentran Integration Suite 4.2 (GIS), IBM Sterling Integrator 5.0, System Integration Architects (SIA) Framework Manager, Si-mon, Jira software (Agile project management), GPM, Sterling Map editor, Putty, and HPE Service manager; and (6) Programming using SQL, Java, C, C++, COBOL, JCL, Easytrieve, VSAM, REXX, CICS, Assembler, SAS, DB2, IDMS, Gentran, Ultra Edit, ALM QC, and qTest.
