Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare, enter and process all aspects of weekly payroll, including auditing, and reconciling for 50+ employee base
• Compiles weekly payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data from timecards
• Updates and maintains payroll records by entering changes in exemptions and banking institutions for direct deposit
• Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Understands proper taxation of employer-paid benefits
• Processes and tracks all garnishments and liens through payroll deduction following local, state and federal requirements
• Researches and corrects discrepancies with regard to employee pay issues
• Reconciles insurance payments (employee benefits, workers compensation) and corrects discrepancies for monthly billing
• Prepare Quarterly tax reports and weekly tax deposits
• Prepares workers compensation reports and performs regular audits
• Maintains payroll records including all historical data
• Prepare and Manage Certified Payroll Reports
• Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information.
• Classify, record and summarize numerical and financial data in order to compile and keep financial records using journals and ledgers or computers.
• Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
• Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.

May be assigned manager tasks and responsibilities on occasion outside of this scope of work in order to test aptitude.
Prior Experience, Qualifications and/or Skills Required:
+ Minimum three (3) years payroll processing and general accounting experience; construction accounting experience a plus.•
+ Handle sensitive and confidential information
+ Communicate with all levels of employees with tact and professionalism
+ Ability to operate 10-key calculators, computer and other electronic supportive equipment to perform calculations and produce documents.
+ Must possess at least an intermediate Excel skill level.
+ Requires strong attention to detail and ability to analyze solve accounting related problems.
+ Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
+ Able to communicate and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
**Pay Details:** $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
