Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

+ 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

+ 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

+ Experience in Linux, Virtualization, Storage, and Networking.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

+ 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

+ Experience building large-scale distributed systems in the infrastructure technical space.

+ Experience with managing execution and quality of a large team across multiple time zones.

+ Experience working with external customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement for Google Distributed Cloud - Agnostic (GDCag) systems.

+ Own and manage complex technical projects, from concept to release, and define product strategy and roadmap.

+ Oversee Software Lifecycle, guide the full software development process—requirements, design, implementation, testing, and integration.

+ Conduct rigorous code reviews and ensure high-quality standards across the team.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product strategy, manage resources, and execute against the roadmap.
